John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched many people by his lyrics. Most of his songs were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a Mexican-born singer-songwriter who fell in adore with Colorado. Denver's most popular songs about his state brought many people to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver is the only artist to represent Colorado. Denver was the initial Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Denver is a symbol of the state for people worldwide. When I travel, you will meet people on the other side of the globe. As an example, you might meet someone from New Zealand. And when you say that you are from Colorado you will get "Oh John Denver!" Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads written by co-writer Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo singer after a brief time in small folk groups. Danoff composed the tune to Johnny Cash but Denver recognized its potential when he first heard it. The song was recorded just two weeks following the Washington D.C. performance.
